We already have Oslo Whisky Festival and a Macallan tasting at Dr Jekylls. Maybe not to be outdone, The Whisky Bar will be having a whisky dinner! The MC will be Diageo’s eminent ambassador Mikael Lundèn.
Samhain is an old gaelic expression which is an event that marks the end of autumn and beginning of winter. It sounds like the time to get some whisky in you. Obviously, it goes together with some Gaelic religious ideas of surrounding spirits and the afterlife. But they will also serve some lovely dishes and paired with what is so far unknown whiskies at this event:
Starter – “Surf and Turf:
– Oysters natural served with a Salmon Roe Migonette. – Haggis Bon-bons served with a Whisky dill Aioli.
– Lightly Smoked Pork Belly served with Swede Mash, Amandine Potatoes, Pickled Red Cabbage and Apple & Whisky Sauce.
– Chocolate Fudge Brownie with brown-cheese Icecream and a Maraschino Cherry Coulis.
