__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Dr. Jekyll’s is getting a visit from the US! Westland Whisky of Seattle is visiting Norway for the first time. This is quite an unknown brand for our part, but what is more exciting than learning about new whiskies and really whole new whisky brands?
As mentioned, Westland is based in Seattle and by their own statement they make whiskies that reflect their area; the Pacific Norwest. For a Norwegian, it’s a bity hazy what this means with regards to tase, but the area is appearently one of the world’s best barley growing areas. It’s also a great landscape and a unique micro climate. Well, when many of us Norwegian whisky lovers has learned plenty about both Japanese and Indian whiskies, this is a new and exciting whisky area to try out.
They are also sending over a very good ambassador too: Chris Riesbeck has awards from Whisky Magazine and he was once appointed the youngest Keeper of the Quaich ever.
There will be tasting of both single malts and cocktails.
The event will be in English Sign up as always by mail.
